The Mid Rivers Student Council is involved in various service projects to aid our community. In the past, students have collected items for the following organizations:

C.H.A.M.P.S - Canine Helpers Allow More Possibilities. Students collect dog food, toy, leashes, collars, bones, etc. to assist C.H.A.M.P.S. in their training of these special animals. The dogs are trained to be support for individuals with disabilities.

U.S.O. - The boys and girls collect items to assist our men and women serving our country. Items include - gum, mints, decks of cards, toiletries, socks, undergarments, etc.


Wolf Sanctuary - Our school mascot is the wolf. Each year our students collect "Pennies for Wolves" and we adopt 2 wolves from the sanctuary. The money collected assists the sanctuary in providing food for the wolves and educational programs.


4 Paws for Disabilities- Students raised money to help a child needing a service dog.


Make A Wish Foundation - Students collect money for children battling serious illnesses. The money is donated to the local chapter of the Make a Wish Foundation.


Pennies for Pasta – Students collected money for the Leukemia Association. During the 2010 -2011 school year, our students collected over $1300.00.


Canned Food Drive – Students collected a variety of canned and dry goods for the OASIS Pantry. Our students worked at the pantry to stock shelves and learned about the importance of helping others.

Joplin Relief Efforts (District- wide collection) – Students collected over $575.00 for the schools in the Joplin area affected by the Spring Tornados of 2011. All schools in the Fort Zuwmalt School District combined their efforts and a check for $14,000 was sent to the Joplin School District.


Shoe Man Fund raiser – Over 800 shoes were collected for the Shoe Man. Shoes are then sold and the money is used to help drill wells in Africa.
