A huge congratulations to Maggie from Kindergarten! After her big 2nd place win at MRE, she took her project to the Regional Science Fair to compete against students from all over the area, Maggie brought home 3rd place! We celebrated Black History Month at MRE with a fun game of Bingo. Every day we would give hints on the person of the day. Then we would learn about the person and watch videos about them. With our buddy classes we read a book about Kente hearts. We colered them and wove them together. Then we put a bulletin board up for everyone to see.
We love seeing the Leader Leauge at lunch. It's fun to ask them questions and learn about leadership.
Dr. St. Pierre visited our school. He came to give our teachers for all their hard work! Congratulations Mrs. B. and Mrs. Crowder!

**STUDENT VOICE SPOTLIGHT** During early releases we work together in our Leadership Families to keep Mid Rivers Elementary a great place to be. We all help out somewhere around MRE, from beautification, organizing the lost and found, or delivering snacks to staff, we each get to serve, practice leadership, and make our school community better!
2nd grade is showing off their knowledge of the Civil War with a Wax Museum this morning.
**STUDENT VOICE SPOTLIGHT** This month staff and administrators from South and Dubray Middle came to visit with 5th grade. We got to learn so much about our new middle schools! Former MRE students talked to us about what are schedules could look like and what fun activities we can try next year!
**STUDENT VOICE SPOTLIGHT** On Tuesday, Kindergarten and First Grade students celebrated the 100th day by dressing up and bringing 100 items to school. They enjoyed a walk through the building to show off how much they've grown the last 100 days!

4th grade had a ball in technology. They were catapulting snowballs to practice collecting data and creating graphs with Google Sheets.

4th grade made snow plows as part of a STEM project. They were expert snow removers! We won't need any more of those AMI day packets!

Our students LOVED playing soccer at recess with our new goals earned from the Walk-a-thon fundraiser! What a great way to enjoy recess... playing soccer!
