Read Mr. Frederich's 3 nominations below:

#1- Alec has impeccable attendance and is pleasant and hard-working. He is positive in his interactions with students and staff, and cooperative in times where flexibility is needed in scheduling. Alec's great attendance makes him dependable to admin and fellow team members, and it contributes to the success of the students that he works with. Alec is the "model" employee and too often he goes unnoticed because he is always here fulfilling his role to the best of his ability without incident or attention-seeking. Alec exemplifies all of the qualities that an Employee of the Year should have.

#2- I gladly nominated Alec Friederich (Mr. Alec to me) for Employee of the Year. I was able to work closely with Mr. Alec last year and unfortunately at a distance this year due to my role. It speaks loudly when I can say he still positively affects my school life on a day-to-day basis.

I cannot do anything but smile and have a more upbeat tone when I see Mr. Alec. Myself and my colleagues last year would joke about how he always had the most optimistic attitude when we were going through whirlwinds. His famous lines, “It’s going to be a great day, guys!”, “It always works out,” or “We will hold down the fort (due to a sick employee’s absence).” His genuineness, kindness and selflessness is remarkable. I can always count on a friend who’s name is Mr. Alec.

Mr. Alec’s commitment to Mid Rivers Elementary is undeniable. In all seriousness, I do not think Mr. Alec has missed one day for the current school year and the last school year. He wants to be here for these children and help them to the best of his abilities. Mr. Alec is willing to work with any student from the general education setting to the special education setting. He is flexible and willing to meet these student’s where they are at.

Lastly, I want to recognize he has been coming to teacher meetings that are not required for support staff. His eagerness to learn and grow as a paraprofessional is commendable. I appreciate his growth mindset. Mr. Alec wants to challenge himself and do what it takes to be a well-rounded paraprofessional.

#3- Very patient and caring for our special needs students!

Congratulations Mr. Frederich!!
