Hello Rock Creek Elementary Families!
I hope this message finds both you and your family well! My name is Wayne Dierker and I have the exciting honor to serve as the new principal of Rock Creek Elementary. The school year is quickly approaching and I am getting excited to begin leading our amazing school and get to know each of you better over the course of the school year.
I have been fortunate to visit Rock Creek a few times before the end of the last school year. This allowed me to meet many of your children, staff, and even to meet some of you. Everyone has been truly welcoming and I am thrilled to get the opportunity to serve each and every child in the years to come. Before I came to Rock Creek Elementary, I had the opportunity to serve as the principal of Lonedell R-14 Elementary School, which is a rural school in Lonedell, Missouri. I served there for five years and loved every minute. Leaving was a hard decision, but serving at Fort Zumwalt has been a dream due to the continued commitment to excellence for students in the district. I was so excited to be placed at Rock Creek Elementary, as it was quick to see the pride over our elementary school and the strong focus on ensuring the success of all children.
My top priority as I move into the 2022-2023 school year is to provide a safe and positive learning environment so that each and every student can excel here at Rock Creek Elementary. I am committed to working hard to ensure the success of all students, staff, and our school community. Ensuring strong academics for all students, focusing on targeted interventions, meeting students where they are at, and pushing them forward are all important aspects as I move into the school year. My focus is the whole child so we can ensure the greatest individual success. I am excited to partner with the staff to provide rich individualized learning experiences and prepare our future leaders to be among the very best.
I hope your children enjoy the last bit of summer, some fun in the sun, find some time to swim, and I hope you find time to make memories as a family. We needed to make some changes to our Meet the Teacher/Supply Drop Off date due to some district training conflicts, which will now be on Tuesday, August 16th from 8:30-9:30am. We fully understand that not all families will be able to make this work and this event is optional. Please be advised that this is only the second day that our teachers will be back to work, so they will still be setting up their classrooms and not everything will be in finished form for this event.
