MRE First Responder Night. Thank you for keeping us safe!

52 Veterans were honored this morning by Mid Rivers student leaders. Our Veterans served over 600 years cumulatively! Thank you for your service!

What's happening in Drama Club lately? Students are getting an introduction to the theatre world! They are learning about stage directions, voice projection, and acting. Fourth and Fifth graders auditioned for roles in three different reader's theater plays and were given their roles. Their skits will be performed at the MRE talent show, so make sure you come see it!

Thank you Central County Fire for visiting Mid Rivers Elementary and teaching our kindergartners and second graders all about Fire Safety. They enjoyed the fire truck, learning about the different equipment, and are prepared if an emergency happens!

Tools make learning math fun! These first graders used problem solving skills to solve math stories. They practiced adding and subtracting within 10. They even had to prove their math with the different tools in their tool box!

Students were having a blast synergizing in art today! They made castle night lights to support their unit in ELA. Thanks Ms. Sellmeyer for bringing history to life!

So many great guest readers at our Literacy Night! Thank you to St Peters Police Depart. & Paramedics as well as to "Belle & Gaston" for reading to our students tonight!!

Mr. Wheelers' 2nd graders finished their new amplify unit on fairy tales and folk tales last week! They made castles, water vortexes, booklets, and a "what I know about fairy tales" project. What a fun way to turn learning into life!

ELA was brought to life by the outdoors today! Students practiced finding sensory descriptions in creative ways using our outdoor classroom.

In Mrs. Crowder's fifth grade classroom, students worked on a jigsaw activity to dive deeper into the meaning of a graphic narrative. Each student was assigned a picture and they had to work together to answer three questions about the photographs, graphs, birth certificate, and Chinese symbols from their book. Students enjoyed learning together and then going back to their tables and teaching the rest of their group about their assigned graphic. It was a fun day in ELA for these fifth graders!

We can't wait for our Kindergarten Wolves to join us this August! Scan the QR code to schedule your child's Kindergarten Screening today.

Congratulations Dr. Romanchuk for earning Helpful School Test Coordinator for the 24-25 school year! She was voted by elementary test coordinators across the district.
