Did you know that Sound Walls are a school wide resource students use to support reading and writing? Teachers cover specific sounds until they are taught the sound as a class. Mrs. Field’s class was ecstatic to uncover the “k” sound for the letter C. Unlocking sounds is their favorite day in Word Study.

MRE learned about Habit 1 from a very special guest today: Corey Anderson, head coach of STL Ambush. We also celebrated this month's leaders of the pack and hosted our second Pig Race! Congratulations Mrs. Whittier's class on winning this month's race with 96.4% attendance.

When MRE students are "caught" using the 7-habits, they get a special fish that is displayed on our "fish wall" for the month. Check out all the great things our students are doing next time you are at MRE! #MREleaders

We are very thankful for our Support Staff and Substitute Teachers! This month, MRE celebrated their hard work and dedication to students throughout their entire day.

Games with Grandparents is one of the best nights of the year!!

Early Release Days provide teachers vital time to meet as teams to collaborate and learn. During our November Early Release Day, MRE teachers were led through an informative professional development by our instructional coach, Jessica Doeschot, on student engagement and classroom systems to enhance learning time. Teachers can take these strategies back to their classroom and immediately impact student learning! #WeAreMidRivers

Students worked hard this morning in their leadership families. We had students cleaning up our campus, hanging fish awards, organizing our book room, handing out snacks to staff, and so much more! Leadership was in the air at MRE this morning!

Today's leadership assembly focused on Habit 1: Be Proactive! Speaker Leaders led today's assembly celebrating fish recipients, golden awards, and our first pig race.
